These Website Terms explain how this website, D-Carbon content and the Power Snapshot tool may be used.

By using this website, you agree to use it responsibly and for general information, planning and enquiry purposes only.

General information only

The information on this website is provided for general guidance and practical production planning support.

It should not be treated as legal, financial, engineering, electrical, health and safety, tax or technical compliance advice.

Productions, suppliers and organisations should always take appropriate professional advice before making final decisions about power systems, electrical design, safety, installation, grid connection, generator sizing or operational delivery.

Power Snapshot estimates

The Power Snapshot tool provides indicative estimates only.

Outputs may include estimated fuel use, cost, carbon, kWh, kWh/L or related comparison information based on the inputs provided.

The results are not a guarantee of actual fuel use, cost savings, carbon reduction or delivery outcome.

Actual results may vary depending on production type, location, runtime, generator loading, supplier model, fuel price, equipment hire, grid availability, infrastructure, data quality, weather, schedule changes and operational decisions.

No guarantee of savings

D-Carbon aims to help productions identify practical opportunities to reduce avoidable fuel use, cost and carbon.

However, cleaner temporary power options may save money, add cost, require further evidence or depend on wider production and supplier conditions.

Nothing on this website guarantees a particular financial, carbon, fuel or energy performance result.

Technical and safety responsibility

Temporary power decisions should be made with competent technical input.

The website and Power Snapshot do not replace qualified electrical design, supplier advice, site assessment, risk assessment, BS 7909 advice, generator specification, installation checks or other relevant safety and compliance requirements.

Case studies and production examples

Case studies and examples are provided to share learning and illustrate possible outcomes.

Production names describe work undertaken. No broadcaster, studio, supplier, production or event endorsement is implied unless explicitly stated.

Reported outcomes relate to specific productions, configurations, locations, data sources and time periods. Results vary.
